Program Overview
The MSc in Cybersecurity program emphasizes a rigorous foundation in the core disciplines of information security and software engineering. The program is designed in line with the best practices of prominent universities offering similar programs. The program offers students fundamental knowledge, skills, and first-hand experience in cybersecurity by balancing theory and practice, engaging students in active learning, and encouraging collaboration on projects drawn from real-world contexts. Our students enter the program with a strong foundation in computer science or applied computing. They leave the program with a deep knowledge of cybersecurity.

Program Objectives
Develop the technical capabilities of professionals in cybersecurity to address/mitigate cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
Equip graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to strengthen the cybersecurity of public and private sector organizations.
Encourage innovation, research, and development of cybersecurity technologies that can protect against cybersecurity threats and improve privacy.
Prepare graduates to take on leadership roles in cybersecurity, capable of developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies and policies at national and organizational levels.
Admission Requirements (MCS)
- A bachelor's degree accepted by The Ministry of Education (MOE) in a related field.
- A satisfactory scholastic average; a minimum grade average of "good" in the bachelor’s degree.
- Alfaisal Graduates or applicants who come from a country or political entity where English is not the official language adequate proficiency in English to do graduate work, as evidenced by
- Applicant should provide one recent letter of recommendation from professors who taught or from a manager at the workplace.
- The graduate study application must be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee payable to Alfaisal University, which is equal to SAR 600.
- An Interview with the applicant may be requested if required.

Tuition Fees (MCS)
Students are allowed to repeat a maximum of 6 CH during their study without incurring extra fees. If students exceed the allowed CH, the normal CH rate will apply.

Scholarships (MCS)
Alfaisal University provides thesis scholarship up to 50% for thesis programs only. You need to fulfill the following requirements & conditions:
- Cumulative GPA (3.00 out of 4.00 and above) by the end of the first academic year.
- Full payment of the total tuition fees (100,000 SAR) by the end of the first academic year.
