Master of Health Economics (MHE)

Program Overview

The Master’s in Health Economics program is ideal for professionals already working within health technology policy formulation, as well as those with roles in management and evidence-based commissioning and purchasing, as well as those in the pharmaceutical, medical devices or diagnostics industries. This program will equip successful graduates with professional-level competency in the design, commissioning, and review of health technology assessments in multiple jurisdictions, delivering perspectives in product development, planning, prioritization of research, and local and international health policy planning.

Admission Criteria
  1. The applicant must have a bachelor's degree or a recognized equivalent from an accredited institution that is accepted by the Ministry of Education (MOE) in a related field.
  2. A satisfactory scholastic average; a minimum grade average of "very good" in the bachelor’s degree.
  3. Alfaisal Graduates or applicants who come from a country or political entity where English is not the official language adequate proficiency in English to do graduate work, as evidenced by:
    • IELTS = Band score of at least 5.5 o TOEFL = Band score of at least 65
  4. Applicants are required to submit two recent letters of recommendation.
  5. Students must provide a statement of purpose.
  6. An Interview with the applicant may be requested, if required.
