  • Admission Requirements
    • A bachelor's degree accepted by The Ministry of Education (MOE) in a related field.
    • A satisfactory scholastic average; a minimum grade average of "good" in the bachelor’s degree.
    • Alfaisal Graduates or applicants who come from a country or political entity where English is not the official language adequate proficiency in English to do graduate work, as evidenced by
      • IELTS (Academic):5.5
      • TOEFL iBT:65
      • STEP:80
      • *English language tests are valid for three years.

    • Applicant should provide one recent letter of recommendation from professors who taught or from a manager at the workplace.
    • The graduate study application must be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee payable to Alfaisal University, which is equal to SAR 600.
    • An Interview with the applicant may be requested if necessary.

  • Program Structure & Curriculum
    Program structure
    • Duration: 24 months (4 semesters).
    • Study Format: Full-time study with clinical placements.
    • Year 1 (Foundation and Specialization, Months 1-12): Didactic courses covering physiology, pathophysiology of neurological and psychological disorders, research methodologies, biostatistics, pharmacology of neurological and psychological medications, neurochemistry and drug discovery, bioethics, and clinical trials.
    • Year 2 (Clinical rotation and research, Months 13-24):During this year the student will be involved in clinical rotations in the Neuroscience National Institute at King Fahad Medical City and at the same time will be working on their graduation research.
